Cameron Parish offers excellent saltwater and freshwater fishing. With 619 square miles of water, the locations to go fishing are endless. Surf fishing is excellent along the miles of beaches on the Louisiana coast and state records are often set by those fishing from boats in Cameron Parish.

Everyone must possess a valid recreational license for freshwater fishing, while saltwater fishing requires both a saltwater and freshwater fishing license. For more information on fishing licenses click here.

Myers Landing is a beautiful place to visit. Myers Landing is located on the Mermentau River near the Lacassine National Wildlife Refuge (in Lowry) and 8 miles SW of Lake Arthur, LA. Our sites are situated under huge live oak and pecan trees. Myers Landing has full hook-ups, rental cabins, boat launch, washeteria and tent camping. Myers Landing is a great place for family; whether you are cooking-out, fishing, skiing, bicycling, relaxing, boating or playing a round of 18-hole mini golf. All that is missing is you and your family!
